This is more than just a classic game of Battleship
in this version, you can strategize and use special
attacks to weaken your opponents position.
Selecting a Mode
Currently, there are 2 modes available. You can play
against a relativly smart computer, or against a friend
locally on the same device.
Placing Ships
Thanks to drag and drop, placing ships is relatively easy!
simply mouse over the next ship in line,
left-click and drag
the ship to the position you want to drop it on.
This is where things get a little tricky though. The grid you
are hovering when you release the ships position marks the 1st
ship piece, no matter the length of the ship.
In this example the ship is dragged to the red position.
When it is placed, the ship will fill out it's remaining
length along the chosen axis (marked in
green).
Pay attention to the length of each ship! If there isn't
Enough space left to place the ship, it won't drop and you'll
have to try again.
The randomize button will automatically place all of
your
ships in randomly selected spots on the grid in a random axis
Gameplay
When a game starts, player 1 can attack any square on their
opponent's board. Both players start with 0 energy. You build
1 energy every turn. The energy can be used on special attacks
that have interesting effects on your opponents boards.
Red squares indicate that the attack hit that
cell!
while grey squares indicate a
miss. Target around a hit cell
until the ship is finally sunk!
After you sink all of your opponents ships the game will end.
The winning player and some details are displayed and you can
try again from the beginning.
Special Attacks
Radar
A Radar costs 4 energy to use. When
dropped in enemy waters, it reveals the number
of nearby occupied squares up to 8
(excluding itself).
Sniper
The Sniper costs 7 energy. When
selected, click anywhere on the enemy
board to target a random unhit ship space.
Bomb
A Bomb costs 5 energy to use. When dropped in
enemy waters, it explodes, targeting 4
adjacent squares.
Before Dropping the space to be attacked is
highlighted
After Dropping, all 4 squares are blown to
bits
Strike
The Strike costs a huge 14 energy to use!
It's expensive and powerful. Use it to obliterate
an entire column or row. Tapping space after
selection will change the orientation of the strike.
